Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay in Istanbul, I was pleased to find a hotel that strikes a fine balance between traditional charm and modern convenience. The location is superb, being just 50 meters from Gulhane tram station, which made it easy to explore the vibrant Fatih neighborhood. Daily housekeeping ensured that the rooms remained clean and well-maintained, which I particularly appreciated. The breakfast provided a variety of options that fueled my explorations each day. While it was mostly great, a suggestion for fried eggs could add even more appeal. A highlight of my experience was the staff, especially Kristina at the 24-hour front desk. She was invaluable in addressing any concerns, including room upgrades and a quick remedy for a minor issue with my key card. The staff indeed spoke multiple languages, including English and Turkish, making communication seamless. While there are areas for potential improvement, such as the inclusion of more amenities, the overall experience met my needs well. I would definitely consider returning for another visit.
